Early 20th century  French textile sample printed with an 18th century design,  originally from a Neufchâtel or Alsace manufacturer, an arborescent design of gnarled branches with large scale peonies and a flower filled basket.Block printed on a heavy textured linen with a makers serial number stamp in the lower right corner.

Though a vertical design it is printed vertically across the linen, selvedge to selvedge
