Circa 1780s French quilt with the main centerpiece an amazing Indian blockprinted cotton of a border of flowering urns surrounding green flowers and arabesque saffron yellow leaves  on a pinky red ground.The border a French quilted silk 'jaune bouton d'or' an 18th century Provencal type of quiliting similar to the ones used at Chateau Grignan.The reverse various beautiful French textiles blockprinted on a grainy slubby cotton.

Extensive damage in places on the saffron yellow silk border  with splits etc,small amount of dark stains in places.
