Circa 1790-1800 French Toile de Rouen indigo resist cotton quilt blockprinted with a design of stylised arching acanthus leaves and patterned  flowers.The quilt is a most beautiful dense indigo colour an in a good condition with a few charming old repairs and a touch of thiness in places.

The reverse an interesting design of  stylised flowers and lozenge shapes in red and saffron yellow with the ground colour an dense green the result of overprinting and is in excellent conition.
