French late 18th century cambresine (wool woven on linen) quilt with a design of dark red and pink flowers with green leaves.Simply quilted with a diamond pattern.Bordered on four sides by a circa 1790s blockprinted design based on diamonds and lozenges from the Oberkampf factory in Jouy-en-Josas.Backed in a small scale patterned cotton of two designs.A rare piece in very good condition.

A few small faded marks.The reverse has some stains and a hole none of which have gone though to the main side
