French 19th century circa 1820s cotton mouchoir de cou blockprinted with colourful paisley/ botch motifsthat are filled with stylised flowers and flower heads in reds,green and saffron yellow around a plain sage green centerm. Hemmed with the most minute stitching.
Some faded marks along with pinprick holes and small splits in the cotton caused by the mordant in the purple dye,most are only seen when held up to the light.
