Circa 1800 French Toile de Nimes quilted indigo resist and block printed cotton panel. once part of a larger quilt.A clasic and popular design of pomegranate motifs amongst stylised flowers and spotted patterns.Backed in a plain linen and simply quilted.Some uneveness in the indigo across this piece but this only adds to its charm.A wonderful indigo textile.

With worn areas in places due to its age, more so towards the middle of the piece.Its righthand side has araw unfinished edge.
