Wonderful and rare, only the second seen in my many years as an antiques textiles dealer, a late 18th cntury French indigo resist cotton shawl.Blockprintd with large scale stylised boteh motifs surrounding a central circular pattern.
In an as found antique condition with some old darned repairs and a few mice nibbles,With some uneveness in the indigo colour across the piece and a few marks her and there.
