French late 18th century softly faded indigo flamme woven textile .It has a chanvre backing and with some old rust nail marks along its edges along with some shaped square cut outs, it was possibly the canopy of a four poster bed or placed at its back.
With many charming patches, it is a patchwork of pieced togetherness.
