Circa 1798 French set of Toile de Beautiran "Dites Merci" Manufacturer J.P Meillier et Cie bed hangings for a Lit à La Duchesse. So rare to find such a complete set with it's bedcover, pelmets and bed hangings including the pair of narrow panels 'bonnes grâces for the sides at the head of the bed.Beautiful red with strong crisp printing.A delight!

In good antique as found condition with some pieces a strongher red, so not a uniform colour acrfoss the whoie set.Some pieces have a small amount of sun discolouration.Scattered faded mildew spots on some panels.With a few old darns and patched repairs.
