Wonderful late 18th century French quilt, a coarsely woven cotton block printed with a design of water lilies surrounded by saffron yellow and white furling leaves with scattered smaller flower heads on a terracota red ground.With lovely details in the use of picotage on the flowers.Likely from a Beautiran, near Bordeaux manufacturer.

The reverse a Turkey red cotton

In good overall condition with scattered worn places and some spilts.
