Early 19th century French bourrette de soie quilt in bleu de pastel, a natural dye similar to woad.The soft blue colour varies in places across the piece adding to its charm and beauty.Backed in two simple and effective block printed checked cottons one in a madder red and the other in a puce.

In very good condition with a small mark or two on the reverse
