Block Printed Cotton Fenetre Quilt French 18th Century

Beautiful late 18th century French fenetre quilt block printed with two designs on cotton.The center panel is a simple but very pleasing print of rows of  bleu de pastel, madder red and purple flower sprigs with leaves on a soft 'old' white ground.

The border a herbier type block print of scattered flowers on a stippled pale orange,red ground.The reverse is also a fenetre design of two printed stripes with two old patched repairs

In overall good antique and as found condition with some small tears and old stitched repairs
